Banqueting House is one of the two remaining parts of the
once glorious Palace of Whitehall. Designed by Indigo Jones
in classical style,
It
is well worth a visit, especially to see the fabulous Rubens
ceiling, commissioned by the extravagant Charles I. Chales
was later beheaded on the balcony of the Banqueting house
at the end of the English Civil War.
