Buckingham
Palace is the official London residence of Her Majesty The
Queen. Buckingham Palace is also the
busy administrative headquarters of the Monarchy and has
probably the most famous and easily recognisable facade
of any building in the world.
During
August and September when The Queen makes her annual visit
to Scotland, the Palace's nineteen state rooms are open
to visitors. They include the Throne Room, Picture Gallery
and Ballroom. The 42-acre garden is an oasis for wildlife
and visitors can enjoy a garden walk which offers superb
views.
Buckingham
Palace operates a timed-ticket system, with admission every
15 minutes throughout the day.
