The grounds of Hatfield House, the Old Palace and the adjacent Old Riding School provide a unique and flexible venue for every type of business or private gathering.

Built between 1480 and 1497 the building now known as the Old Palace was originally known as the Palace of Bishops of Ely. On November 17th Elizabeth was proclaimed Queen of England. Queen held her first Council of State at the Great Hall at Hatfield. On a warm summers evening, when the costumed Elizabethan performers are hosting a banquet and the sound of madrigals drifts across the courtyard, the Golden Age of Elizabeth seems like yesterday.

The Great Hall and Riding School are ideal for product launches, conferences, seminars, weddings and dinner dances.

The surrounding parkland site offers extensive showground facilities for outdoor sport, events, equipment demonstrations or just relaxation.

The Great Hall offers original 15th century charm with modern comforts and facilities. In the timbered Great Hall, witness to four centuries of royal banquets, you will travel back in time to the Golden Age of Elizabeth

Solar Room Bar provides a large and convenient second are with full bar facilities. On arrival you can proceed straight to the Lower Solar Room to purchase an apertif, or simply soak up the atmosphere of the Great Hall setting.
